The other day Paige was playing on the floor, crawling
around the room like crazy and pounding on things like usual. We were having a
normal morning when out of the blue she decided she wanted to explore the room
more. I don't know what it was, but all of the sudden she looked up and then
just went straight for the staircase. Dang it! I was hoping she would keep
ignoring them for a while so we wouldn't have to deal with a gate. We only have
one staircase in the apartment and that is just the one to come down from the
door outside. She is only ever at the bottom of the staircase so we didn't have
to worry about her falling down from the the top. Well I was hoping she would
just look and then move on. But, of course that would just make things way to
simple. Nope, she took a good look and then started making her way up the
stairs. She made it up 3 steps and then decided to look back at me. Yup, 3
steps and she fell. But, thats ok, I was standing right behind her the whole
time. I was just curious to see how far she would make it.
Anyway, Jared and I went to set up the baby gate later that afternoon
and aparently it doesn't come with all of the hardware you need to attatch it to
the railing on the one side. It sure made it sound like it did before we bought
it. Anyway, now we have our coffee table pushed in front of the stairs and
everytime you come or go from the apartment you have to step on/over the coffee
table. Convenient right?
hmmm, this looks interesting.
